Join the BREC Board of Management

The BREC Board of Management is calling for nominations for volunteers to fill Board Positions, each for a two-year term.

Nominations close Friday 10th May 2024.  

Community members from First Nations, Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD), and LGBTQIA+ communities are strongly encouraged to apply.

Currently sought after skills/experience include Philanthropic & Sponsorship Development, Legal, Marketing, HR, Lobbying & Advocacy and having a professional arts practice.

Casual Food & Beverage Staff

Enhancing the visitor experience is at the heart of everything we do.

Our food and beverage team provides outstanding service for a wide range events at BREC. Seeing over 60,000 visitors to the centre each year, working here is fast-paced and dynamic. The centre hosts over 200 events annually and caters for anything from VIP pre-show events, conferences and exhibitions to award ceremonies, gala dinners and wedding receptions.

BREC is looking to bring on a number of enthusiastic staff on a casual basis to provide support to the events team. The ideal candidates will have relevant experience in the hospitality industry and be able to demonstrate a high quality of customer service. You will be a confident team player and a have a keen interest in events. You will be able to cope well with pressure and show a strong ability to solve problems. You will be flexible in your approach to work and be able to learn new skills quickly. RSA Certificate holders are preferred but not essential.

All shifts are subject to availability. Casual workers are under no obligation to work the shifts offered and BREC is under no obligation to offer work on a regular basis.

Cleaner [Multiple Roles]

With your eye for detail and commitment to excellence, you will provide a high standard of cleaning across our offices, conference rooms, foyers and theatres.

Our cleaners help the team keep Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre clean, sparkling and safe – and ready at all times for our staff, audiences and clients.

 

This role suits people who are physically fit and who have a systematic and meticulous approach to tasks.

Position: Fixed Term part-time (6 months); with the possibility of extension or permanency. Casual roles also available

Hours of Work: A minimum of 24, and up to 48 hours a fortnight to be agreed. (The role can be split between two people). Majority of shifts will be rostered early morning or late evening with some weekend work required on a variable roster. Note: This role is not suitable for those only available between 9-5 weekdays.

The ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate a high quality of technical work, as well as provide outstanding customer service to our clients. Relevant technical industry experience is essential.

You will have a keen interest in all areas of production such as lighting, sound, audio visual, cinema operation and staging with and aware of current industry technology. A confident team player and capable of working independently. You will be able to cope well with pressure and show a strong ability to solve problems. You will be flexible in your approach to work and be able to learn new skills quickly.
