Everyone within our team works towards a common goal. To make the experience for every visitor at BREC, the very best it can possibly be.
To achieve this we live by the values that have guided us to develop our business and our people since we opened our doors in 1990. From humble beginnings BREC has relied on support by local businesses and individuals to grow into what is now one of Western Australia’s leading venues, hosting over 200 events each year and welcoming over 60,000 visitors through its doors.
Owned by the City of Bunbury, BREC is operated as a not-for-profit organisation over-seen by a board of directors. In 2014, with funding through the Royalties for Regions program, the expansion of BREC’s facilities was completed and we are now able to provide world-class, end to end service for all sectors of the community.
Moving forward, we strive to be financially strong and future ready, with the right support networks in place to ensure our position as the leading conference and events facility in regional WA. We are ambitious in the scale of what we produce and present. We embrace new technologies and innovative ways of doing business, inspiring a vibrant and culturally engaged city and contributing to the economic growth of the region.

Maintaining a sustainable future for BREC and the wider region.
We are passionate about investing in new ways to improve the sustainability of our venue and our events, leaving a lasting legacy for the local community as one of WA’s leading events venues. We bring long term economic benefit and aim to enhance the local region’s reputation both nationally and internationally.
We carry out a number of activities across the business that meet our sustainability promises.
We operate a ‘reduce, reuse and recycle’ policy at BREC, separating waste wherever possible. So when you leave your waste with us after an event, we’ll dispose of it in the most environmentally friendly way possible. We use local producers to reduce our carbon foot print on food & beverages and are planning to install solar power to help us power our site more efficiently. We run an extensive CSR programme designed to support our local community and develop programs specifically for young people.
