BREC will re-open to present Reboot, a series of Saturday night performances for brave audiences from Saturday August 29th.

Over five weekends Reboot will bring a curated program of shows by West Australian artists to Bunbury that will entertain and delight audiences and offer weekly surprises for patrons.

BREC’s Executive Director Fiona de Garis said ‘Reboot is intended as a celebration of West Australian live performance and an opportunity for people share a wonderful night out together again. I hope if you have never been to BREC you consider making Reboot your first visit, and if you are one of our many loyal regulars we know you will find something you’ll love at Reboot.”

Featuring a diverse program and hosted by popular Capel artist Nathan Gardiner, Reboot will also offer South West residents the chance to experience BREC in a new way. The BREC foyers, conference rooms and other hidden places will be transformed into makeshift theatre spaces, as well as utilising the Stage One and Cube Theatres to provide unexpected and memorable experiences.

As each show may be performed a different space the number of tickets available each week will differ. Some weeks there may be enough seats for 200 and others for an audience of 20. Tickets to each show will go on sale 10 days prior to the performance.

Understanding these are difficult economic times for many, BREC is asking patrons to ‘pay what you can’ for their tickets, with prices ranging from $5 to $55. All tickets sold to the Reboot series will help BREC keep the lights on and keep bringing live performance to the South West.

All performances will comply with current government restrictions and social distancing measures, and the safety of patrons, artists, staff and volunteers remains a key priority for BREC.

BREC is currently calling for Expressions of Interest from South West artists interested in performing during the series. Applications can be made online at www.bunburyentertainment.com and close on Monday August 17th at 10am.

The first performance of the Reboot series will be on Saturday August 29th with four more performances following on Saturday September 5th, Saturday September 12th, Saturday September 19th and Saturday September 26th.
