Wigged Out Circus Thrills

Internationally renowned Circa Contemporary Circus bring Wolfgang’s Magical Musical Circus to BREC on Monday 12th October at 6.30pm.

Heralded as ‘manic and magical’ (The Guardian, UK), Wolfgang’s Magical Musical Circus is a must-see family show filled with circus, magic and musical madness.

To those who know him, he is Wolfgang, the dart-playing, pun-loving ratbag. To those who are watching and listening, he is the wigged genius Mozart.

Mozart appears amid a storm of powder, ready to throw musical madness into a crescendo of dives, swoops and twirls, as a pair of mischievous acrobats and a multi-skilled musician reinvent the composer’s manic and magical music.

“This is a production for everyone, touching on the marksmanship of Mozart’s mad but magical music. It’s meant to give you a sense of the power of this incredible music as it’s brought to life through circus… but mostly, it’s just a lot of fun”, said Yaron Lifschitz, Artistic Director of Circa and creator of Wolfgang’s Magical Musical Circus.

This production also sees BREC welcome back school shows. Thanks to education sponsor Scope Business Imaging, over 800 primary school students will experience the joy of live performance during two sold out Wolfgang Magical Musical Circus shows for schools.

“Providing our local children the opportunity to learn, be entertained and inspired is fundamental to BREC’S vision. In addition to the school shows we also have Circa running a full day workshop of circus skills during the school holidays,” said Fiona de Garis, BREC Executive Director.

Created by Artistic Director Yaron Lifschitz, with Benjamin Knaption and the Circa Ensemble, featuring music recorded by the renowned Quincy Grant (Circa, Slingsby) Wolfgang’s Magical Musical Circus follows Circa’s hugely successful repertoire of shows, including Carnival of the Animals, En Masse, Humans and Opus as contemporary circus art performance.

Suitable for the whole family (kids aged 3+), this new production runs for 60 thrilling, totally wigged out minutes at BREC on Monday 12th October at 6.30pm. Tickets are on sale now online at www.bunburyentertainment.com at by phone on 1300 661 272.

All performances comply with current government restrictions and social distancing measures, and the safety of patrons, artists, staff and volunteers remains a key priority for BREC.
